Properties: The product is cream or light yellow powder which is odorless or almost odorless. Decoquinate is insoluble in water, slight soluble in chloroform and ether, almost insoluble in 96% ethanol .

Usage: Decoquinate is labelled for use in cattle for the prevention of coccidiosis in either ruminating or non-ruminating calves, cattle or young goats caused by the species E. chris¬tenseni or E. ninakohlyakimoviae . It is used for prevention of coccidiosis in broilers caused by E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. mivati, E. maxima or E. burnetti.
Toxicity: Decoquinate is of low acute toxicity by the oral route in a range of avian and mammalian species. It is also of low acute inhalational and contact toxicity.
